Shopware Freelancer and Plugin Developer from Germany.
I’m Eike Brandt-Warneke from Bochum, and for more than ten years I have been developing exclusively with Shopware. I look after your shop, build new features and connect it to your systems. You always talk directly to the developer.
Whether your shop is just launching or has been running for years: I take care of the technology, from a single bug to ongoing development.
Check first, then build.
First I check whether Shopware’s standard features or an existing plugin will do. Not every idea needs new development, and I will tell you honestly when there is a simpler way.
Who I work for.
My clients are shop owners, companies, agencies, freelancers and individuals from many industries, with requirements and budgets of every size. Whether your shop is just starting out or has been selling for years.
01
Support & maintenance
One dedicated contact for your shop. I keep Shopware and your plugins up to date, fix bugs and step in when things go wrong: as a one-off rescue or long-term with an individual maintenance contract.

Shopware updates
An update is due? I check plugins and customizations for compatibility, run the update in a test environment first and then roll it out safely to your live shop.

03
Custom plugins
Every business is unique and needs solutions that fit its own processes. When Shopware and existing plugins are not enough, I build the missing feature.
One of my plugins covers almost everything you need? Then I add the missing pieces instead of building everything from scratch. That is often the faster and cheaper way.

Integrations & workflows
Copying orders by hand, maintaining stock twice, passing on documents one by one: I connect your shop to your ERP, accounting and shipping and automate whatever repeats.
ERP · Accounting · Data import
06
New shop, theme & relaunch
Consulting and concept, installation and configuration, layout and templating in your corporate design: I set up your new shop or bring your existing one up to date.

My own plugins
More than 100 plugins in the Shopware Extension Store.
I have been an Extension Partner in the Shopware Extension Store since 2018 and am now a Premium Extension Partner. My plugins have been downloaded more than 14,000 times and are rated 4.9 out of 5 stars on average. Three examples show how I turn everyday shop requirements into solutions.
Updates & test environments
Test first. Then go live.
Staging Manager copies your live shop into a test system, entirely from the Administration, without shell or server access. Customer data is anonymized, emails are intercepted and a password page keeps strangers out. Your live shop is only read, never changed.
The firewall blocks attackers, scanners and bots before Shopware even starts. You manage country blocks, rate limits, honeypots and protection for login, registration and forms directly in the Administration, without any cloud service.
Your customers earn bonus points with every order and redeem them right in the cart: as a discount or as a free reward, without any voucher code. With point promotions, occasion bonuses and optional loyalty tiers, all within your own shop.
Returns, accounting, sets or a partner program: there may already be a plugin for your task. You will find all the others in my profile in the Shopware Extension Store.
I adapt my extensions to your requirements so that they fit seamlessly into your processes. I am happy to send you a quote for customizations or for a custom-built extension.
More than 200 positive reviews in the Shopware Extension Store. Most of them praise not only the plugin but above all the fast and personal help. The reviews below are translated from German.
4.9Average rating in the Shopware Extension Store Response time: very fast
“My support request was answered within a few hours, and a patch fixing the problem was released.”
“The plugin runs reliably, and return labels for other countries can be generated without any problems. Support responds lightning-fast and is very competent.”

About me
Shopware is my passion and my hobby.
For more than 20 years I have been working in e-commerce as a passionate web developer, and for more than ten years exclusively and by conviction with Shopware. In that time I have built more than 200 plugins and numerous themes, supported many installations and updates, and delivered large projects based on Shopware beyond classic online retail.
I stand for straightforward communication, future-proof solutions, modern technology and a high level of commitment. When advising you, I draw not only on my experience as a developer but also on my entrepreneurial and commercial way of thinking.
Reliable.
I take care of your project reliably and with dedication, as if it were my own. With clear agreements and one dedicated contact, long after go-live.
Quality.
High service quality is at the heart of my work. I use current technology, cleanly structured code, tests and modern tools.
Business-minded.
I look not only at the code but at your processes, your costs and your goals. The best solution is often the simplest one.
Not a full-service agency.
I deliberately focus on my core skill: developing, extending and maintaining Shopware shops. For anything beyond that, such as hosting and graphic design, I work with strong partners who are experts in their own field.
From Germany’s Ruhr area.
I am a Shopware freelancer and developer based in Bochum, between Essen and Dortmund in Germany’s Ruhr area. I work for shops across Germany and beyond, by phone, video call and email.
Development with AI
I remain the architect and project lead.
AI agents are a fixed part of my development work. I give them clearly defined tasks and the technical framework. They take time-consuming code work off my hands, so I can focus more on your concept, the connections within your shop and the quality of the solution.
01
The concept comes from me.
What does your shop really need? I clarify the requirements with you, take existing plugins and integrations into account and design the architecture. This results in concrete work packages for the agents. Technical decisions and priorities stay with me.
02
Agents work on the code.
They help write and revise code, prepare tests and document technical processes. That way I don’t have to make recurring changes by hand every time. I steer the tasks and step in when the implementation drifts away from the concept.
03
I review the result.
Generated code is not yet a finished solution. I review the changes for clarity, maintainability and how they work with your shop. With tests and checks of the affected processes, I make sure the implementation is solid before it goes live.
What you get: Less development time goes into routine work. More attention remains for the decisions and details that move your shop forward in the long run. I remain your direct contact.
AI for your daily shop work
Less manual work with data and content.
AI can take over recurring work in your shop too. I build suitable integrations and agree with you which data may be processed and where your team approves the results.
Create structured attributes and draft product descriptions from supplier texts.
Prepare translations
Draft content for additional languages, with consistent terminology for your product range.
Connect workflows
Integrate AI processing into existing import and approval processes instead of copying data between separate tools.
Why Shopware?
A strong foundation for your shop.
Shopware is software made in Germany and one of the leading shop systems in the German-speaking market. Shopware 6 combines day-to-day shop operations with the freedom to implement your own processes.
1
Extensible, not locked in
The open core and thousands of extensions in the Store leave room for your own features. Much of it does not have to be built from scratch.
2
Connected to your systems
Thanks to its API-first approach, ERP systems, product data and other applications can be connected cleanly.
3
Do a lot yourself
Manage content with Shopping Experiences, define conditions in the Rule Builder and automate processes with the Flow Builder, right in the Administration.
What matters is what your shop needs. Edition, extensions, hosting and support have to fit together. I help you decide and also tell you when the standard is already enough.
Working together
How we work together.
You don’t need a finished concept or technical terms. A short description is enough to get started.
1
Getting to know each other
Briefly describe what it is about, no technical terms needed. In a no-obligation conversation we clarify what your shop needs and which solution fits.
2
Solution & effort
I check whether the standard, an existing plugin or custom development is the right fit. We agree on scope, effort and priorities before I start.
3
Build & test
I implement the solution and test it in a test environment with your shop’s key processes before it goes live.
4
Go-live & support
After go-live I remain your contact: for questions, updates and the next steps, with a maintenance contract if you like.
For agencies.
Looking for technical support for a client project? I take on individual development tasks or complete plugins in coordination with your team.
Your question isn’t listed? Give me a call or send me a short message about what you need.
Do you also take over an existing shop?
Yes. First we look at the Shopware version, installed plugins, customizations and known issues. Then we discuss how the takeover and ongoing support will work.
Can I come to you with a small task?
Yes. A single customization, a bug or a question about an update is a good start. Not every request has to be a big project.
Do you offer a maintenance contract?
Yes. If you want one dedicated contact in the long term, we agree on an individual maintenance contract that fits your shop and your needs.
How do you handle a Shopware update?
In three steps: First I check whether all plugins and customizations are compatible with the new version. Then the update runs on a copy of your shop, where I test the key processes. Only when everything works there is it the live shop’s turn.
Can you adapt one of your plugins to my shop?
Yes. Tell me which plugin you use and what is missing. I check whether it can be added cleanly and send you a quote.
How are costs determined?
After our first conversation I estimate the effort and send you a quote. What we agreed on is what gets built. We discuss new requests before they cause extra effort.
Do you work with shops outside Germany?
Yes. I am based in Bochum, Germany, and work with shops wherever they are. We coordinate by phone, video call and email, in German or English.
Do you work for agencies?
Yes. I support agencies with individual development tasks or complete plugins and coordinate directly with their team.
